    Dish Former Silhouette Die - 2.75" Arabesque 8

    Use this tool to make shallow domed forms, such as trinket dishes, lockets, small containers, etc. Dish -3-7/8" x 2-7/16" Die itself - 4-11/16" wide x 3-7/8" tall, 1/4" thick. Must be used with a large sheet of urethane (available separately). ***Will not fit in the discontinued Potter USA medium press***

    • Must use with urethane sheet (available separately)
    • Recommended use with 18g or thicker nonferrous metal

    • Anneal your metal before use and between pressings to prevent it from splitting at the edge of the die
    • Leave at least 1/4" (preferably 1/2") edge around the shape to allow for the metal to be formed into the die
    • Can stack two dies and make deeper dishes. Anneal and press multiple times, filling the center of the domed metal with small pieces of urethane and topping it with the urethane sheet.
    • If your upper platen is smaller/narrower than the shape of the die, place a larger spacer on top of the urethane sheet before use to ensure even pressure.
