FSS (Fast Stamping System) Standard Die Shoe

The Standard Die Shoe is more durable and will last longer than the High-production Die Shoe, due to the smaller size of the hole in the base offering more support to the Die Sets (available separately). Standard Die Shoe OR High-production Die Shoe REQUIRED FOR ALL FSS DIE SETS (available separately)! Die Shoes are interchangeable with different FSS Die Sets. Interchangeable FSS Standard Die Shoe Includes: Base with two sizes of pins to maintain correct indexing and assembly and center hole to assist with metal alignment and for removing cut blanks. Kevin Potter designed this first-of-its-kind tool in 2015 with the goal to bridge the gap between an inexpensive pancake die and a $2000 tool-steel die set, commonly used in industrial die striking. This new method, invented by Kevin, allows us to produce a die set for under $100, making it affordable to artists who need more production capacity than what a pancake die affords them. The FSS (Fast Stamping System) helps speed up small-scale production of metal blanks, as well as accommodate a wider range of metal gauges than pancake dies. And, it's able to be re-sharpened, if/when needed! The FSS (Fast Stamping System) is a precision tool, and must be treated as such, or you may damage it. This spacer is 4.5'' x 7.75'' and 1'' thick. Non magnetic Spacers are used in the press to lessen the amount of effort needed to extend the jack and activate the items being used in the press. Top and bottom platens are not meant to touch - it will cause the jack to overextend and cause leaking, or for jack to fail. Always use spacers on lower platen to take up space between platens.
