Impression Die Dragon Ring: Die & Former

3/4" x 2 3/4" or 19mm x 70mm

This die comes with two parts: the dragon ring die and the semicircle former. To use this die:

1. Start with approx. 10-gauge metal sheet, and use a jeweler's saw to cut out the rough shape of the ring.
2. Anneal, anneal, anneal!
3. Place the ring blank onto the die, and place the semicircular former onto the blank; make sure the curve of the former is oriented in the same direction of the curve of the die. (see photo)
4. Press the center of the ring.
5. Remove the semicircular former, and press the sides of the ring.
6. DO NOT USE URETHANE!

Kevin will film a video soon showing how to use this ring die; it's more difficult to use than other impression dies, and isn't recommended for those not comfortable with using impression dies.
