3/4" x 2 3/4" or 19mm x 70mm
This die comes with two parts: the dragon ring die and the semicircle former. To use this die:
- Start with approx. 10-gauge metal sheet, and use a jeweler's saw to cut out the rough shape of the ring.
- Anneal, anneal, anneal!
- Place the ring blank onto the die, and place the semicircular former onto the blank; make sure the curve of the former is oriented in the same direction of the curve of the die. (see photo)
- Press the center of the ring.
- Remove the semicircular former, and press the sides of the ring.
- DO NOT USE URETHANE!
Kevin will film a video soon showing how to use this ring die; it's more difficult to use than other impression dies, and isn't recommended for those not comfortable with using impression dies.
